Outdoor lighting can be used as a garden landscape feature that can be used in both winter and summer. What I really like about outdoor lighting in the garden is how the garden can be transformed at night in the winter months. The clocks have gone back and we have darkness early and by mid December it will be starting to get dark around 4.00pm in the afternoon.

This time of year is when I like to use outdoor lighting to illuminate the garden using accent lighting under trees as well as pathway lighting and small LED lights in amongst the flower boarders. I believe in keeping the dying back vegetation in place to give added protection to the base of perennials and the accent outdoor lighting adds to the garden by picking out the shapes and structure this creates.
